💛 Elma’s Corner

Joyful moments from my heart to yours! Our Sunshines continue to fill us with immense pride and joy. From engaging at Jeopardy classes led by the amazing Max to creating delicious meals with Chef Diane in the All Star Chef cooking class, and from crafting beautiful artworks with Eliana to participating enthusiastically in Portuguese class, and more, our Sunshines embrace every opportunity! No challenge is too big or small for this talented and spirited group, as they consistently support each other to achieve their best.

At Sunshine Projects, we wholeheartedly celebrate every triumph and offer encouragement to those who need a little extra support. The possibilities are truly endless here, and as their leader, my heart, vision, and wishes for all current and future Sunshines are boundless. The daily inspiration from these bright and loving young adults fuels our passion and vision.

Our team of dedicated educators and mentors work together with joy to make these dreams a reality. To continue this journey, we must always maintain a bold and can-do spirit!

• 🌿 We’ve joined the Potomac Church Farmers Market!

  Catch us every Thursday from 3–6:30 PM with our homemade dog biscuits, made with love by our participants.

• 🚣‍♀️ We went kayaking for the first time!

  Our Sunshines faced the unknown with confidence and joy—another amazing step in their personal growth.

✨ Spotlight Moment: Sophia 

This month, we celebrate Sophia, who showed bravery and excitement during her very first kayaking trip! She asked questions ahead of time, stayed positive, and even navigated back after drifting from the group. We’re so proud of her growth and independence!
